Service Description

Are you looking to improve your running? Perhaps you are aiming for a new PB, are taking on a new distance, or just want to avoid injury and keep enjoying your runs! Using The Running School® methodology, you will be coached by a Certified Running Technique Specialist to Move Better, Run Better and then Run Faster. After your initial Biomechanical (gait) and Functional Movement assessments in session 1, you will be taken through 5 coaching sessions with videos refilmed at the end so you can see your progress. The sessions involve a mix of Dynamic Movement Skills®, strength, mobility and activation alongside the running coaching - all of which will support you to both learn quickly and then maintain the technique. To get the most from your course you will need to commit to a minimum of 1 homework session a week, following the plan designed by your coach. We recommend coaching sessions are taken weekly or fortnightly depending on your goals and current level of fitness. Let us know if you are already on a training plan or working towards an event and we can review with you. *Discount available if you wish to do as a pair - for instance with a partner, family member or friend. All sessions must be taken together. Payment options available - contact for details.

Cancellation Policy

The 6 session blocks are subject to a 12 week expiry. If you are injured and need to delay your sessions please discuss with your coach. If you do not wish to continue after the first 2 sessions, you can request a 50% refund to the value of the remaining sessions. Sessions are not transferable to any other person. Your initial appointment involves a detailed Biomechanical Assessment using video analysis, the clips are available at your request. Please ensure that you are appropriately attired to run on the treadmill. The CRTS will ask detailed questions regarding your injury, health and sporting histories. Please answer these to the best of your ability to gain the most from your programme. Coaching will be based on the findings of the BMA and your goals. It will involve treadmill running, strength exercise prescription, and sometimes outdoor runs. To get the most out of your programme you will need to complete homework to practice the technique and associated exercises/drills.
