The Ironbridge Autumn Social

Join us for a morning of chatty trail running around the stunning Ironbridge Gorge!  This run is planned as 1 loop of around 5-6 miles / 8-10km, starting and finishing with a trot over the Iron Bridge itself.  Our route includes pretty woodland, fields, trails and stunning views of the River Severn.  

This is a great route for anyone newer to trail running, as although there is a climb in the middle (we will walk when needed) we are generally running on well-established paths and trails.  After our run you are welcome to stay and enjoy some refreshments with us in the town centre - I am planning to try Embers Shropshire for brunch but there are also lots of great options for coffee and cake!

The route will be shared beforehand, and the group will be given clear directions/meeting points so anyone wanting to go a little further or faster is welcome to do so. We run at an easy, chatty pace and the run leader ALWAYS stays at the rear to keep everyone together.  There will be a homemade treat for us at the top of our climb, and so please make sure to let me know any allergies or dietary restrictions in advance.

Please wear appropriate layers, bearing in mind it is November!  Trail running shoes/trainers with good grip are essential and waterproofs dependent on the weather. Please bring water and any snacks you may need for the trail run, and if you are planning to stay for refreshments afterwards a change of shoes/socks and top may be a good idea.
