About the event

Join Jenna Blair & Victoria Gidney to discover how Pilates and Yoga can benefit you running, helping you to:

- Develop greater core strength to improve your running economy and form

- Improve muscle balance, posture and lower limb alignment to protect your spine and key joints - hips, knees and ankles

- Increase your flexibility, strengthening muscles through their full range of movement

- Recover quickly - reducing stiffness to feel more comfortable both during and after your runs, and calming your nervous system to help you rest

This workshop is perfect if you...

...are an experienced runner, wanting to understand how to improve or maintain your mobility and strength to keep running as long as possible

...have recently started or returned to running and want to learn how to avoid common niggles to calves, hamstrings, and hips - amongst other things!

...are planning on taking on a new challenge, maybe targeting a park run PB or longer distance, and want something to help you build the strength and mobility to achieve it - comfortably!

...have suffered from a running injury previously, and are looking for a class to complement your running and avoid a recurrence

…struggle to sleep or recover after an event or a long run, and would like to learn some techniques to soothe tired muscles and an active mind

Come and join us to learn more! No Pilates or Yoga experience necessary. Your afternoon will include:

- An Introduction to Pilates for Runners class

- A short, guided, gentle run and mobility-focused cool down

- Refreshments - including some homemade, healthy running snacks for you to try

- A Yin Yoga class to leave you feeling relaxed

... and lots of friendly chat and encouragement throughout!
