Caer Caradoc and Helmeth Woods - The Bluebell Social!

Join us for a morning of chatty trail running up and around Caer Caradoc, and through pretty Helmeth Woods.  This run is planned as 1 loop of around 5 miles, with option to add on a second loop beforehand taking in Hope Bowdler Hill.  There will inevitably be some hills to climb, but we'll be walking when needed and enjoying some stunning views (and a homemade snack!) at the top.  This is a great way to explore the area and enjoy the scenery in a friendly, supportive environment! 

The Vending Hut by the layby off the B4371 in Church Stretton (at the top of Sandford Avenue towards Hope Bowdler) is the start/finish point, and will be our venue for any post-run refreshments - they do great ice creams as well as hot drinks and other refreshments.  We will also be enjoying a homemade treat when we reach the Caradoc summit, and so please make sure to let me know any allergies or dietary requirements.

The route will be shared beforehand, and the group will be given clear directions/meeting points so anyone wanting to go a little further or faster is welcome to do so. The run leader ALWAYS stays at the rear to keep everyone together.  Our loop includes fields, trails, woodland, stony sections and lanes...a bit of everything really. So be prepared for varied terrain... and probably some mud too!

When purchasing your ticket, you can opt to include an exclusive Romy Design wooden pin as a memento of your run.

Please wear appropriate layers, bearing in mind it's often cooler (and windier!) on the top of a hill! Trail running shoes/trainers with good grip are essential and waterproofs dependent on the weather. Please bring water and any snacks you may need for the trail run - a running pack is highly recommended to ensure you have everything you may need.
